You can drop in any time between 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday and between 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, to take advantage of free blood pressure checks and get advice from one of our knowledgeable on-site professionals. The Health First Center at Valley Hills Mall is now your central location for:

• Seniority--a membership program for those 50 and over.
• Safe Kids Catawba County Coalition--representing the country’s first and only national organization dedicated solely to the prevention of accidental childhood injury. Child passenger safety seat checks are available by appointment by calling 828-485-2300, ext. 225.
• Women’s Health Education--offering a variety of high quality programs and classes taught by certified Lamaze International instructors to assist the whole family through the childbirth experience.
• Cancer Resource Center--providing information and support for patients, families and friends of those with cancer through its well-stocked library plus an oncology case manager to answer your questions.
• Healthy Cooking and Nutrition--a demonstration kitchen making it fun and easy to learn about healthy diets featuring new recipes and cooking methods.
• Mallwalkers--Valley Hills Mall offers a climate controlled evironment, perfect for year-round walking. Mall entrances open at 7:00AM Monday-Saturday and at 10:30AM on Sunday for your walking convenience. Co-sponsored by Health First.
• Healthy Kids Korner--program for those 12 and under promoting children’s wellness and safety.
• Health Information and Screenings--a wide range of seminars and screenings.
