- Improved ability to tolerate any medical treatments you may be receiving.
- Referrals for integrative therapies (music, pet, healing touch).

When is the right time for Palliative Care?
Palliative care helps patients through all stages of illness. It is best
introduced early in your care, and is provided at the same time as
curative treatments.
Is Palliative Care the same as Hospice Care?
No. Hospice care is meant specifically for those approaching the last
stages of life. Palliative Care is appropriate for any stage of a
serious illness.
Do I have to stop my current treatment to receive Palliative Care?
No. The Palliative Care Team works in partnership with your doctor
throughout your course of treatment.
How can I get Palliative Care?
To explore how Palliative Care can help you, please ask your doctor for
a referral or talk with your nurse. A Palliative Care nurse will visit
you and your family to explain more about the program and how it may
benefit you.
