Physicians, mid-level providers and staff from the medical practices of Catawba Valley Medical Group are offering Saturday medical office hours at Northeast Family Practice, which is located at 2386 Springs Road NE in Hickory. In addition to regular office hours, patients can now be seen on Saturdays anytime between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Anyone in need of immediate medical care is welcome to the office, with or without an appointment. Dr. Brian Kauth
Prior to completing his residency at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center in Syracuse, Dr. Kauth received his medical degree from Albany (NY) Medical College. He is board certified in Family Medicine and is a member of both the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and the American Academy of Family Physicians. He enjoys spending his free time with his two children, Wayne and Saphire, along with playing golf, tennis, scuba diving, and skiiing.
Dr. John Wilkinson
A native of Sioux City, IA, Dr. John Wilkinson received his medical degree from the University of Washington (Seattle). After his internship at Hennepin County Hospital in Minneapolis, MN, Dr. Wilkinson completed his Family Practice Residency at the University of Arizona (Tucson). He is board certified in Family Medicine. In his leisure time, Dr. Wilkinson enjoys tennis, reading and writing poetry.
Dr. Sean Larson
A native of Ferguson Falls, Minn., Dr. Sean Larson comes to the area from Ferguson Falls where he practiced medicine at Ferguson Falls Medical Group P.A., Lake Region Home Health Care and Lake Region Hospital. Dr. Larson received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis and completed internship and residency at the university’s St. Joseph’s Program in St. Paul, Minn. He is certified by the American Board of Family Practice.

A native of Minnesota, Maggie earned a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte and post-Masters education as a nurse practitioner at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Throughout her career, she has worked in various healthcare roles including critical care, education and diabetes management. She is certified as a family nurse practitioner through the American Nurses Association and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, sailing, reading and music.
