Catawba Medical Foundation

Through its Steps Into The Future program, Catawba Medical Foundation offers a special tribute to any child born at Catawba Valley Medical Center while also enhancing and sustaining the services and equipment of the hospital’s Birthing Center. For a $100 contribution, the Foundation creates two silver medallions etched with the infant’s name, footprint and birth date--one for the parents and one for permanent display in the Birthing Center. Bronze, satin finish memorial medallions commemorating those children who were with us for too short a time are also available. The proceeds from this program are maintained in a special account, and are requested by the Staff to improve the quality of patient care within the Maternal and Child Services Departments.
