 Dr. Steven Merrill

     

A Graduate of Ohio State University School of Medicine, Dr. Merrill completed internship and residency in Family Practice from the Medical College of Virginia. His special interestes include involvement in a local Christian church, teaching sexual abstinence programs for local schools, writing and photography. Dr. Merrill and his wife Shirley have eleven children.

 

 

Dr. Deji Okuboye

     


Dr. Okuboye received her degree in Osteopathic Medicine from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida. She completed her internship and residency in Family Medicine through Palmetto General Hospital in Hialeah, Florida. Additionally, she is a licensed Physical Therapist. Originally from Clearwater, Florida, Dr. Okuboye enjoys international travel, competes in long distance running, and spends her free time with her daughter and husband.

Patrick Van Meter, PA-C

     


After serving as a Pararescue Specialist with the U.S. Air Force for ten years, Patrick Van Meter earned his Master of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Nebraska College of Medicine and completed surgical rotations with the University of Alabama Surgical Physician Assistant Program. Prior to joining Family Medicine Associates, he specialized in the treatment of spinal disorders and general orthopedic care while treating patients with a wide range of acute and chronic medical concerns. He currently lives in the Hickory area with his wife and two children and enjoys biking, swimming, running and outdoor activities.

   

Tonya Millsaps, PA-C


Tonya Millsaps completed her undergraduate degree in Medical Sciences at High Point University before earning PA certification from Wake Forest University Bowman Gray School of Medicine. She then returned home to Alexander County and began work with Family Medicine Associates in January 1997. She currently resides in Hiddenite with her husband and child.
