New Graduate Information
--Registered Nurse

It is great to know of your interest in employment as a Registered Nurse with Catawba Valley Medical Center! New nursing graduates are welcome to make application for employment.

Nursing graduates who would like to be considered for starting employment in June or July should complete the application process by May 1. Nursing Directors will review applications and approve the candidates for the interview process. Some new graduates are hired into full-time positions while others may be hired on an as needed basis in the NuRSE Registry. NuRSE Registry employees may then apply for full-time positions as they become available in the hospital.

Candidates who have been approved for the interview process will receive notification by phone or mail. Applications will remain active for three months.

Application Process

  • Submit cover letter and resume.
  • Submit on-line application.  In the “Position Applied For” section, please type New Grad RN
  • Provide written recommendations from two clinical instructors from the program facility (download recommendations at left, under New Grad Process-RN)
  • Submit official college transcript(s) Must be returned in signed, sealed envelope)

Candidates who have completed the application process and submitted all applicable documentation are eligible to be considered for interviews.

Employment Requirements

  • Graduate of a state approved and accredited nursing program
  • North Carolina Registered Nurse Licensure
