Announcing New Trustees Jan 29, 2003 Catawba Valley Medical Center Announces New Trustees and 2003 Board Officers The Catawba County Board of Commissioners selected Commissioner Dan Hunsucker to serve as commissioner liaison to the Catawba Valley Medical Center Board of Trustees. He replaces former Commissioner W. Steve Ikerd in this role. Ikerd, CEO of Ikerd Enterprises, will continue to serve as a trustee, having been elected to fill a seat vacated by Jesse E. Salwen. Salwen retired from the Board on December 31, 2002 after 10 years of service, including the position of Chairman of the Board from January, 2000 through December, 2002.
