Catawba Valley Medical Center Announces 2004 Medical Staff Officers and Department Chiefs

Catawba Valley Medical Center recently announced its 2004 Medical Staff Officers and Department Chiefs, according to J. Anthony Rose, president and CEO. “Catawba Valley Medical Center is extremely fortunate that these physicians will provide leadership for the hospital’s medical staff of more than 300 physicians,” Mr. Rose stated. T. Reginald Williams, MD, will serve as the 2004 Chief of Staff, with Nitin Shenoy, MD, as Chief-Elect of Staff and Michael Fuller, MD, as Secretary.

The following physicians are serving this year as Department Chiefs: Medicine – Garland Hughes, MD; Surgery – Ronald Locke, MD; Pediatrics – David Millsaps, MD; Psychiatry – Andrew Shaw, MD; Radiology – Charles Scheil, MD; Emergency Medicine – Steven Williamson, MD; Pathology – John Bauer, MD; Obstetrics/Gynecology – Robert Highland, MD, and Family Practice – Daniel Gill, MD.

Catawba Valley Medical Center is a not-for-profit healthcare system providing and promoting the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well being of the public in addition to serving as a center for health education, wellness services, preventative medicine and acute care.
