Catawba Valley Medical Center Offers Babysitters’ Clinic On Tuesday, July 8
Catawba Valley Medical Center invites children 12 years and older to learn the basics of babysitting including safety skills at a Babysitter’s Clinic offered Tuesday, July 8 at CVMC’s HealthFirst Center at Valley Hills Mall. The Babysitters’ Clinic from 12 noon to 5 p.m. will also teach attendees how to handle various kinds of situations that can arise while caring for children. Registration will be held from held at 11:45 a.m. the day of the class.
The clinic is sponsored by the hospital’s Emergency Department and includes representatives from the Catawba County Sheriff’s Department, the Hickory Fire Department and Catawba County Emergency Medical Services.
The clinic is free and includes a snack. Call 828-485-2300 by Thursday, July 3 to preregister a child for attendance or to learn more about the class.
