Catawba Valley Medical Center’s Health First Center in Valley Hills Mall will offer a class called “Bone Health--The Truth and the Myths” on Wednesday, May 16 at 12 noon. Do you think that popping a calcium supplement is all you need to ward off osteoporosis? Join Sharon Smith, RN, MSN, to take a closer look at what is fact, what is fiction and what you can do to protect your skeletal health. The Health First Center at Valley Hills Mall is a service of Catawba Valley Medical Center, a not-for-profit healthcare system providing and promoting the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being of the public.
