Catawba Valley Medical Center’s Health First Center in Valley Hills Mall will offer a cholesterol check Thursday, May 17 from 7 to 8:45 a.m. The screening will include cholesterol as well as triglycerides, LDL, HDL and glucose. Those planning to attend should not eat or drink after 12 midnight preceding the screening except for small amount of water needed to take regular medications. Cost is $20 each for the general public and $15 each for Seniority program members. Preregistration is not required. To find out more, call the Health First Center at 828-485-2300.
