Catawba Valley Medical Center recently announced its 2007 Medical Staff Officers and Department Chiefs, according to J. Anthony Rose, president and CEO. "Catawba Valley Medical Center is extremely fortunate that these physicians will be providing leadership for the hospital's medical staff of more than 350 physicians," Mr. Rose stated. Robert Highland, MD, will serve as the 2007 Chief of Staff, with Geoffrey DeLeary, MD, as Chief-Elect of Staff and Doug Michael, MD, as Secretary.
The following physicians are serving this year as Department Chiefs: Emergency Medicine - Steven Williamson, MD; Family Medicine - Brian Vierling, MD; Medicine-Wheaton Williams, MD; Obstetrics/Gynecology - Jason Walker, MD; Pathology - Mark Atkins, MD; Pediatrics - David Berry, MD; Psychiatry - Isabelle Eustice, MD; Radiology - Charles Scheil, MD, and Surgery - James Harris, MD.
