Catawba Valley Medical Center's fifth floor Critical Care/Telemetry unit has recently been the site of a collection of art created by students in teacher Susan Hardy's art classes at St. Stephens High School, according to the medical center's unit nurse manager, Bonita Hefner, Registered Nurse, Bachelor of Science Nursing, Certified Peri-Anesthesia Nurse. "I have had so many compliments on this beautiful art work," said Ms. Hefner. "It is a joy to see such talent in our community. The art certainly brightens our patients' days." Catawba Valley Medical Center is a not-for-profit, public healthcare system in Hickory, NC providing and promoting the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being of the public in addition to serving as a center for health education, wellness services, preventative medicine and acute care. CVMC, recognized by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Magnet facility, was recently named a Hospital of Choice by the American Alliance of Healthcare Providers.
