Employee Type New graduates with 1 year or less experience Experienced nurses desiring to maintain their acute care skills while maintaining a high level of personal flexibility Experienced nurses seeking a flexible position with a higher base rate of pay. Experienced nurses available for short-term employment contract with a higher base rate of pay
Experience RN Licensure with no prior work experience Must have hospital or commensurate experience within the past 2 years

Minimum Work Requirements 4 shifts per pay period 24 hours per quarter 6 shifts per 6 week track As per contract agreement. Contracts may be arranged for an assignment equal to the tracks being filled (32-40 hours per week).
Rate of compensation $16.08 New Graduate $21.00 per hour $23.00 per hour $25.00 per hour
Shift differential $2.50 for 3p-11p (2nd shift)$3.00 for 11p-7a (3rd shift)
Call Requirements Required to take call if need exists for area and shift assigned
Triggers for Evaluation of Status
  • Refer to Administrative Policy #HR-1 “Attendance & Punctuality” or failure to work
  • Employee fails to comply with Registry Guidelines for 3 consecutive months

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
  • MAJOR HOLIDAYS: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Independence Day, Labor Day.

  • CLINICAL AREAS DEFINED AS FOLLOWS: Birthing Center/Women’s Health Education, Level II Nursery, Pediatrics, Surgical Unit, Medical Unit, Critical Care Center, Telemetry Unit, Oncology/Neuroprogressive Units, Psychiatry Unit, Emergency Department, Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit.

  • QUARTERLY REVIEW: Review of hours will result in automatic termination of those employees not meeting minimum requirements.

  • CURRENT EMPLOYEES desiring to transfer to Registry status must be recommended by current Nursing Director.

  • ON-CALL EXPECTATIONS: Employee remains available during the period of time of the regularly scheduled shift. On-call pay is $2.00/ hour.

  • REGISTRY EMPLOYEES are not guaranteed a specific number of hours per pay period.

  • REGISTRY EMPLOYEES ARE REQUIRED TO:
    1. Attend general hospital orientation sessions. Pay rate for classroom and clinical orientation and mandatory in-service education is $16.08/hour.

    2. Complete orientation of patient care departments and CMH nursing procedures, considering qualifications and staffing needs.

    3. Meet annual evaluation, employee health screen, safety test, housewide and department specific competency requirements.

    4. Attend mandatory in-service education sessions.

    5. Obtain an order entry password at the discretion of the department manager.

    6. Adhere to FICA, Federal, and State tax guidelines for payroll purposes.
