What's New for April 2004
We are pleased to announce we have an executed ALL Product (ie, PPO, POS, HMO) HOSPITAL contract with CIGNA HealthCare effective
5-15-04.
What does this mean?
This new agreement will allow our facility's participation in all the CIGNA products including, PPO, POS (FlexCare) and HMO programs, therefore patient's with CIGNA insurance, regardless of plan, will be able to access our facility as of May 15th!
The new Cigna lives (key employers including Alex Lee, Rock Barn) coupled with the additional recent employer conversions this quarter (conversions from plans which historically excluded CVMC to plans which include CVMC) we have approximately 8258 new lives (potential patients) which now have access to our facility.
Using the 2001 Census data which we based our prior calculations on approximately 97% of Catawba County Residents now have access to CVMC!
CVMC Hospital Based Physician Practice CIGNA Participation Status: --CVMG--currently in the Cigna PPO and negotiations in progress for POS, HMO.
--OutPatient Rehab--currently NOT participating in the Cigna products and negotiations in progress for all Cigna products.
--Psych/Behavioral Health--currently participating in ALL Cigna products through a direct contract with Cigna Behavioral Health organization.
