The Tree of Life memorial embraces that sense of hope by honoring loved ones who have engaged in the fight against cancer. All proceeds are used to fund cancer education and other cancer programs in Catawba Valley Medical Center’s Comprehensive Cancer Program.
The Tree of Life is a beautiful tree mural in the sixth floor elevator lobby. Every brass-plated leaf on The Tree Of Life is inscribed with the name of an honored individual who has fought the battle against cancer. The stones surrounding the display, which represent the roots of the Tree of Life, are also engraved with the names of loved ones.
Patrons may choose to honor individuals who have beaten the battle or memorialize those who have passed. Gifts are often given in the hope of a speedy recovery or to recognize special milestones, such as birthdays.
A commemorative leaf may be added to the display through a $250 donation and a stone may be added through a $500 donation.
