Dr. Frank Jones came to Catawba County in 1939. For many years, he practiced at Catawba General Hospital in Newton. When Catawba Memorial Hospital opened in 1967, he served as the first chief of the medical staff. Dr. Jones agreed to sell Catawba General Hospital, which permitted Catawba Memorial Hospital’s development to proceed.
The Heritage Society named in his honor provides the opportunity to benefit the individual and the Medical Center by posthumously contributing a portion of your estate to the Catawba Medical Foundation. This program enables you to contribute to Catawba Valley Medical Center while keeping the assets you need throughout your lifetime. Since bequests to charities are tax-deductible, the Heritage program can help significantly reduce or eliminate the estate taxes that otherwise would have to be paid by your heirs.
