Catawba Medical Foundation

Catawba Medical Foundation encourages contributions from individuals and businesses throughout the community to help Catawba Valley Medical Center maintain its self-supporting, not -for-profit status. When you "make a gift" to the Foundation, your dollars do so much good. Over the last two years, the Foundation's contributions made possible the purchase and implementation of:

"Dikatinetics" software for pharmacists that helps ensure accurate drug dosages.
Infant Fetal Monitoring System for the constant monitoring of mothers and babies during labor and delivery in the Catawba Valley Medical Center's Birthing Center.
A 1/2 mile paved Fitness Trail available to patients, staff and visitors.
Fitness Center equipment including exercise bikes and a total body exercise unit.
Stealth Station Treatment Guidance System that offers three-dimensional imaging technology to guide neurosurgeons through complicated operative procedures.
Funds to help relocate the Cancer Resource Center within the Medical Center.
Ultrasound equipment for Radiology Department.
Pedometers for the Diabetes Center patients.
Music and CD Players for Patients in Day Surgery.

Since Catawba Valley Medical Center's beginning, the Foundation has helped the hospital and its affiliates underwrite vital new programs and acquire state-of-the-art medical technology; all without depending on the use of one single cent in tax dollars.

During your lifetime, you may be touched by the kindness or care given to you or a loved one by an individual or group. You may want to memorialize a loved one whom you miss. Or perhaps you would like to honor the memory of a physician who was like a member of the family for more years than you can remember. Or perhaps you would like to honor the new baby in the family. If you would like to honor or memorialize that person or group in a special way, consider donating to the Catawba Medical Foundation to commemorate, to honor, or in memory of that someone dear to you. Each gift is tax-deductible. Acknowledgement of your kindness is sent to the person or family of the person being honored or remembered, according to your wishes. No gift amount will be mentioned.
