Catawba Valley Medical Center (CVMC) invites the public to attend the next session of its support program entitled “CLIMB Catawba Valley,” according to Barbara Stark, Oncology Social Worker, at the medical center. A program of The Children’s Treehouse Foundation, “CLIMB” stands for Children’s Lives Include Moments of Bravery and was created to provide support to children whose parent or grandparent has cancer.

This monthly, no-charge meeting provides an opportunity for discussion of some of the most important issues facing the healthcare profession today.

Catawba Valley Medical Center (CVMC) recently recognized Anita Herman, registered nurse, in the emergency department, as the March CARE employee.
Following are remarks offered by a fellow employee in nominating Ms. Herman: “Anita is the best charge nurse. Very professional and knowledgeable, she is always happy with staff and patients.”
