Employee Type

New graduates with 1 year or less experience

Experienced nurses desiring to maintain their acute care skills while maintaining a high level of personal flexibility

Experienced nurses seeking a flexible position with a higher base rate of pay.

Experienced nurses available for short-term employment contract with a higher base rate of pay to fill a vacant track

Experience

RN Licensure with no prior work experience

Must have hospital or commensurate experience within the past 2 years

Able to accept an independent assignment in a minimum of 2 clinical areas

Must have hospital or commensurate experience within the past 2 years

Expected Availability

Work as available/needed.

2 holidays
one being Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve or Christmas Day

Minimum Work Requirements

32 hours per pay period


4 weekend shifts (Sat or Sun) each 6 week schedule (negotiable depending on department needs)

1 shift (shift defined by department) per pay period

2 weekend shifts (Sat or Sun) each 6 week schedule (negotiable depending on department needs)

2 shifts (shift defined by department) per pay period

 

4 weekend shifts (Sat or Sun) each 6 week schedule (negotiable depending on department needs)

As per contract agreement.

Contracts may be arranged for an assignment equal to the tracks being filled (32-40 hours per week).

 Persons meeting 4 of the following criteria, are paid an additional $1.00 per hour:

  • Orientation Preceptor
  • Charge nurse
  • Board Certification
  • Hospital Instructor (BCLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC etc.)
  • Committee participation with consistent attendance (at least 80%)
  • Covers: Option 1: 4 weekend shifts; Option 2: 6 weekend shifts
  • Works on December 24 or 25
  • Willingly works in more than one department

Call Requirements

Required to take call if need exists for area and assigned shift. Registry staff will be paid $2.00 per hour call rate if asked to remain available during this time. If called to work, will be paid at regular rate of pay for hours worked.

Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Independence Day, Labor Day.

Clinical Areas

Birthing Center, Level II Nursery, Pediatrics Surgical, General Medicine, Ortho/Neuro Inpatient Rehabilitation, Critical Care Center, Oncology, Surgical, Psychiatry, Secure Care, Emergency Department, Surgical Services, Radiology

Registry Compliance

  •  Registry staff is not guaranteed a specific number of hours each pay period. Compliance with expected availability and minimum work requirements will be evaluated on a quarterly basis. Employees who have not met these requirements for 3 consecutive months will be terminated.
  • When scheduled to work, Registry employees must adhere to the Administrative Policy HR-1 "Attendance & Punctuality".
  • Employees requesting to transfer to Registry status must be recommended by their current director.

Other Requirements

  •  Attend general hospital and nursing orientation. Note: Registry staff will be paid for classroom and clinical orientation and mandatory education/inservices. Non-mandatory education will not be paid.
  • Annual performance reviews will be completed but will not result in any merit increases or bonuses for Registry employees.
  • Complete orientation of assigned patient care departments.
  • Meet annual evaluation and competency requirements, completes annual health screening and attends required education sessions.
  • Adhere to FICA, Federal, and State tax guidelines for payroll purposes.
