Terry Wicks, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) at Catawba Valley Medical Center (CVMC), recently testified before the Senate Appropriations Committee’s Defense Subcommittee. In his testimony, Wicks offered a review of the contributions of military CRNAs and made a request to renew the appropriation of funds for Incentive Specialty Pay and Health Professions Loan Payment Program for nurse anesthetists. Catawba Valley Medical Center is a not-for-profit, public healthcare system providing and promoting the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being of the public in addition to serving as a center for health education, wellness services, preventative medicine and acute care.
