Catawba Valley Medical Center (CVMC) recently recognized Brenda Putnam, Catawba County Breast Cancer Coalition coordinator in the medical center’s Health First Center, as the June CARE employee. Following are remarks offered by fellow employees in nominating Ms. Putnam: “Brenda is an amazing asset to CVMC as well as our community. She assists her clients facing cancer with a strong heart and soft smile. Brenda treats her co-workers as family. She provides exceptionally supportive service by sharing information, education and resources to her clients as well as their families. You will never hear anything negative from Brenda. Her warmth and loving attitude is a blessing to everyone around her.” Catawba Valley Medical Center’s CARE employee, nominated monthly by employees and guests, embodies Courtesy, Attitude, Respect and Enthusiasm for commitment to maintaining a positive guest relations atmosphere while demonstrating a sincere compassion and concern for patients and fellow staff members.
