Catawba Valley Imaging Center (CVIC), a service of Catawba Valley Medical Center, provides diagnostic x-rays, CT scans, ultrasound imaging, bone density scans, mammography, MRI and nuclear medicine for those who can receive their tests as outpatients. Equipped with totally digitalized technology, CVIC is dedicated to patient comfort and easy access to services. The office can be reached by phone at 828-485-2766; the office hours are from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

In 2009, Catawba Valley Imaging Center was awarded a three-year term of accreditation in nuclear medicine as the result of a recent peer evaluation by the American College of Radiology (ACR).  Headquartered in Reston, Va., the ACR is a national organization serving more than 32,000 diagnostic-interventional radiologists, radiation oncologists and nuclear medicine and medical physicists with programs focusing on the practice of medical imaging and radiation oncology and the delivery of comprehensive health care services.
