Fitness Plus Group Exercise Classes:  Descriptions & Schedule
(All classes are 45 minutes unless otherwise stated.)

Basic Core

This class gives your posture a boost by working on the muscles that shape the lower back, abdominals, glutes, and hips. It is a beginner level class or for those who are looking for a less challenging strengthening class.

Body Burn
This class utilizes various methods to sculpt your body, including circuit training. Learn to use a variety of exercise tools such as, free weights, body bars, stability balls, resistance bands and body weight.  Keep your body guessing by varying the intensity of your workout.  A great class for all fitness levels.

SilverSneakers® - Muscular Strength & Range of Movement

This class includes rhythmic range-of-movement work with resistance tools, cool down, stretch, and relaxation.   This is a multi-level class for total body conditioning which uses a chair for standing or seated support.

SilverSneakers®- Cardio Circuit

This class focuses on increasing your cardiovascular and muscular endurance and power with a standing circuit workout.  Hand-held weights, elastic tubing, and balls are alternated with low-impact aerobic choreography.

Spin & Sculpt
Cycle & weights combined in one class.  A cardio ride to the beat of the music with weight lifting off the bike in between.  Get it ALL in one class!

Total Body Tone
This lunch-time class is meant for the working professional – 30 minutes of total body exercise that targets all the major muscle groups.  Give those muscles a quick burn, then back to work.

Zumba®
Try this dynamic fitness class with Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves.  It’s an exhilarating 45 minutes of calorie-burning, body-energizing, awe-inspiring movements!

Yoga Stretch
This beginner class is for those who are new to yoga or for those who are looking for a less challenging class due to stiffness or lessened strength.

Yoga

Yoga postures known as asanas are dynamically flowed together to strengthen, stretch and relax.  Levels I and II are combined, allowing you to make the class as challenging as you want.  This is a 60-minute class, and all fitness levels are welcome.

Learn how to eat a well-balanced diet that is low in cholesterol, saturated fat, and sodium, while promoting a healthy weight and lifestyle.  Second Tuesday of each month, at 12 noon, Center for Rehabilitation Conference Room.  Contact 326-2905 for additional information. FREE

Strides to Recovery Wellness Program for Cancer Survivors
A 12-week exercise program designed to help cancer survivors to rebuild strength and stamina.  The program includes one-on-one exercise prescription, nutrition education and relaxation.  This program is supported from a grant from Through Healing Eyes, Inc,.  Program is FREE for Breast Cancer Survivors.
