Join Us at the Catawba Valley Women’s Show!

Get to know Catawba Valley Medical Center at the Catawba Valley Women’s Show, which takes place Sept. 11-12 at the Hickory Metro Convention Center. Show hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. Admission to the show is $7 for adults and free for children 10 and under.

CVMC health educators will be on hand at our display to provide information and answer questions about the following CVMC services:

• Breast Health
• Childbirth Education
• Our HealthGrades 5-Star-Rated Maternity Care
• Birthing Center
• The Health First Center at Valley Hills Mall
• Lifeline
• Surgical Weight Management

You’ll also be able to tour CVMC’s Mobile Mammography Unit, which will actually be parked on the convention center floor! In addition, CVMC will be hosting several presentations on stage throughout the weekend:

• Top 10 Exercises for Women – Presented by Tracy Glover, CVMC’s Fitness Plus Exercise Specialist

• The Healthy House – Presented by Lynn Winkler, Pediatric Dietitian/CVMC Healthy House Coordinator and Myra McDonough, CVMC Healthy House Activity Specialist

• Breast Cancer Jeopardy! – Hosted by Peggy Messick RN, BSN, CVMC Disease Prevention Coordinator and Brenda Putnam, Catawba County Breast Cancer Coalition Coordinator. This fun, interactive session will feature two teams – comprised of show attendees – competing for fun prizes.
